Collective accommodation

Regular or casual reception establishments group together various categories of establishments which have in common to be specially designed to collectively receive children until they enter nursery school or even up to the age of four Years apart from school time.

They are better known under the name of collective nursery, drop-in center, multi-hospital structure, micro-nursery, etc.

The manager may be a local authority (commune, community of communes, general council), a communal or intercommunal social action center, an association, a mutual society, a company, etc.

The opening of these establishments is subject to an opinion or an authorization to operate issued by the President of the county council after advice of the maternal and child protection services (PMI).

The care of the children is ensured by a multidisciplinary team comprising: a director (childcare nurse, doctor, educator of young children) and professionals (especially childcare assistants and early childhood educators) directly involved in the daily life of the children. (Care, meals, activities, well-being), one person for every five children who do not walk and one for every eight children who walk. Other professionals (psychologists, psychomotricians, cultural speakers, etc.) can intervene in this team on defined times.

The premises meet the safety standards required for establishments that are open to the public and are designed to encourage children to be awakened.
